Y6 Campers had a brilliant day yesterday, completing 3 mountain tops in all sorts of weather! They finished the day with high quality entertainment.

After breakfast this morning they will pack their kit and tidy up before heading off for a waterfall explore and well deserved ice cream, then travel back to Shropshire, arriving in Brockton at approx. 1830 hrs.

Heads Welcome

Brockton School is a Church of England Controlled Primary School. It was built in 1971 to replace the old Victorian school which still stands at the end of the school playground. The school is approached by one of two old stone bridges, crossing a stream that runs through the school grounds. It is set in a lovely valley in the village of Brockton amongst the beautiful South Shropshire rolling landscape, not far from Much Wenlock.

We are proud of the family atmosphere of our school. As soon as you walk through the front door we hope that you will feel this atmosphere and see that the children are happy, secure and well motivated. They are encouraged to be kind to one another and to care for their surroundings. We very much value the importance of a strong and open relationship between home and school so that we can work together to ensure each child receives the very best support.  As a parent there may be times when you have a concern that you wish to discuss with your child's class teacher; if this is the case please do contact the class teacher, either directly or via the school office, to make an appointment.

Children come to us with different needs and every child is an individual, with differing abilities. We are careful to match the work to each child’s capabilities; always seeking to help them reach their full potential in every aspect. Children work on many tasks, which have been carefully planned by their teachers to ensure that they experience all aspects of each curriculum area during their time with us. We hope to provide an environment that will develop their confidence and independence as well as their knowledge, skills and understanding.

We believe that learning should be exciting, stimulating and challenging and endeavour to plan as many first-hand experiences as possible.  We take learning outside as much as possible so that our children can learn from the real world.

We very much value the partnership between parent and school. We are always willing to discuss with you any aspect of your child’s development and we welcome your involvement. We will be very pleased to show any prospective parent or visitor around our school. Please telephone for an appointment.
